Big Red is about to get a new tab -- and it's relatively cheap, too. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 will soon be available from Verizon starting on August 17th. The 7-inch tablet is the successor to Samsung's original Android tablet, the aptly named Galaxy Tab, but this newer model features a more slender casing, 4G LTE and tasty Ice Cream Sandwich. The new tablet will run $349 but doesn't require a lengthy contract. That said, it will need a Verizon service plan to use the 4G LTE bits, which costs $10 on Verizon's new Share Everything plan.
